Caltrain Station

Honorable Mayor Wolosin and Council Members,

What is happening with the historic building located at the Caltrain Station?

There is NO sign of activity, resulting in the building falling apart, with repairs and maintenance needed. Day by day, it is becoming an eye sore, and to some folks, even an embarrasment.

It badly needs a new roof, tree limbs overgrown, dirt, grim accumulating and overall taking on all the typical signs of a vacant, abandoned property.

Can anything be done?

Former Mayor and Council Member, Ray Mueller is on the Board of Directors of the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board (PCJPB) overseeing the Caltrain railroad. Perhaps he can tell us the status of the building.

In some cities, these properties are favorite cafes, restaurants or similar use. It could also serve as a Menlo Park Historical Museum. Either way, continuing it EMPTY is unacceptable.

I repeat, can anything be done? Kindly advise.

Respectfully, Jim Lewis
