City Council,
I mentioned on Tuesday that the process has included comments out of turn by Councilman Combs. He not only strategically commented on the process during a March 14th meeting, he then joked about doing so in a meeting on April 4th.

On March 14th, Councilwoman Nash introduced a resolution to change the naming criteria policy regarding the previous name not being required to be taken into account. It was seconded by Councilwoman Taylor. This shows they have been positioning the naming policies for a change since March. These two were the driving force in the motioning and changing the name on Tuesday as well. I momentarily thought after the October 18th commission meeting that there may be a different outcome based on being told the community input and planning commission recommendations mattered. I was told that a lack of transparency and behind the scenes meetings are a major issue in Menlo Park. This was evident for everyone to see last Tuesday.
