Dear Mayor Wolosin, Council Members, and Staff,

This message is in regard to Information Item I3 - Update on the Caltrain Quiet Zone Study.

We wish to express our gratitude to Council, and Hugh Louch and his team in Public Works, for all of the progress that has been made since June, when Council approved as a FY24 Priority, engineering designs for safety improvements to our two busiest crossings at Ravenswood and Oak Grove.

As you know from the hundreds of residents and business members who have written and spoken out, there is a groundswell of community support for quieting the horns of passenger and freight trains, which blare throughout the day and night.
