Honorable Mayor Taylor and Council Members:

During the year we may not always agree on the topics of the day, but for this week it certainly is appropriate to pause and take a moment to THANK YOU for your service to the community. Long hours, meetings after meetings, endless Staff Reports to read, etc. consume your days and evenings. Your commitment in finding ways to address day to day and long term issues is ACKNOWLEDGED AND APPRECIATED.

Im grateful and thankful for all you do on our behalf - helping to make Menlo Park what it is, a community many call home, find work, send their kids to school and enjoy all that the community has to offer. You make a difference.

Similarly, the STAFF deserves a round of applause, for it is they that are tasked to carry out the policies you decide on. From the City Manager, to Department Heads and all full time and part time employees - THANK YOU for doing your part as part of the team. Thus, a shout out, loud and clear, to the staff in the Library, Recreation Department, Public Works, Law Enforcement, Child Care, and so on.

Bottom line, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and yours. Keep up the good work.
