Council members:

You are the same group of people who refused to take moral action after I was assaulted by your police during the wee hours while sleeping in my car.

Therefore, I will limit my remarks to what is appropriate for your mental capacity.

THE MENTAL CAPACITY OF FOLKS IN GOVERNMENT IS LOOKING MORE AND MORE SUSPICIOUS TO ME.

For 75 years our goverment has poured money and weapons into the Mideast, knowing that it is a powder keg.
City libraries, including yours, have been filled with noisy entertainment, eliminating quiet study, which homeless desperately need.
City police have continually beat up on the poor and minorities, increasing crime.
Atrocious, expensive solutions to homelessness have been continually proposed in government, including the expenditure of $250 million per unit to create "affordable" housing.

THE PROPOSAL YOU ARE ABOUT TO VOTE ON, TO TURN PARKING INTO HOUSING, IS ONE OF THE MOST STOOOPID I HAVE SEEN.

Downtown parking is already scarse. Merchants are threatened. The tax base that supports help for homeless is threatened. Want to hurt merchants and the working poor in order to give a nice apartment to somebody who has been shooting up on the street?

Chances are that homeless junkie will not even get that help. Help goes to folks who are smart enough to "play the system."
Printing the money to implement more goverment PR schemes is going to accelerate the inflation that has already made the Little Guy desperately poor. Probably the only form of affordable housing that will really work would be large dormitories that house each individual in a tiny room with a very small kitchen and bath, coupled with a system for kidnapping street people without a complex application process.

Goverment guys need to wise up before we throw them all out during a bloody revolution. Tell that to the airheads in Sacramento and throw out the idiot proposal that you are about to vote on.
