Dear City Council,
We are writing to express our whole-hearted support for the SRI Parkline project, and particularly for the new plan with more housing across the affordability spectrum. Since we moved here almost three years ago, we’ve been excited to see the progress made on the project.
We are aware that construction for such a project will be disruptive, as we live directly across from the site. Nevertheless, we fully support more housing, especially on such a well-suited parcel that’s already served by Caltrain, Samtrans, and nearby City facilities.
We also urge you to consider the needs of families as this project moves forward, including units with enough rooms for children or extended family members. We, as a family with four young children, know many families who would love to stay in Menlo Park—if only they could find an affordable place to live.
