City Council -
I have been excited for the proposed SRI development since first hearing about it.

Public access to the complex will allow children from the Flood Triangle/Lindenwood/Vintage Oaks neighborhoods easy access to the Burgess complex for soccer, swim, gymnastics, baseball, and the library. It will allow students access to Laurel who are heading to Hillview. Eventually it will allow access to the Cal Train underpass and Middle Ave.

My kids are fairly competent cyclists, but coming from our neighborhood in Flood Triangle to the pool/library necessitates two left hand turns that can be tricky even for adult bikers. Which means I drive them, but very much want to just send them out the door. But with the proposed changes to SRI they would be able to cross at the light at Middlefield and cut straight through to the Burgess complex. This encourages active transportation, eco-friendly options, and independence among our youth.

Thank you for your time,
Meredith Bergin Bailey
