I’m writing to voice my strong support for greenlighting the Clockworks restaurant project, next to The Guild.
I am a frequent attendee at The Guild, and one of the problems in Menlo Park is the lack of restaurant diversity to make a great night out. For some reason, most of the new restaurants are at the higher end – which is not what you want when you’re going to a show afterwards. We need MORE restaurants at all price points in Menlo Park!
The team that built The Guild has demonstrated that they can pull together a great project that improves the quality of life in Menlo Park. I’m sure they will knock it out of the park with Clockworks.

PS – I’m a resident of Atherton – which means I’m coming to Menlo Park to spend tax dollars because of The Guild. I have friends in Palo Alto who are doing the same. Now that we have a great live music venue, we need the other commercial support around The Guild (eg, restaurants, bars) to having an night out in Menlo Park viable for consumers and lucrative for Menlo Park.
