Dear City Council,
This email is in reference to a ongoing situation with RV parking on Campbell Ave, Menlo Park. The businesses in the area have been subject to constant RV parking in front our business for many years. We have been subject to Hazardous Materials (human waste) on our properties, blocked visibility navigating in and out of driveways, a narrowing effect while driving in between RV on either side of Campbell Ave, employee intimidation from late night shenanigans coming from the RV’s, parking with chemicals leaking from storage trailers, working on engine repairs in the street, interference with our vendors ability to perform deliveries, and much more including the blight.
Memry along with our neighbors have been extremely patient in tolerating the RV’s. We understand the difficult nature that has become more common not just in Menlo Park, but everywhere. We have all contacted the police with great response but little results. We’ve tried parking on the street which is only a short term solution that hasn’t worked. And we have now come to our wits end. We now feel further actions are need to by asking the council to review the problem and work towards granting the businesses in the area some form of relief. We seek with the council support the ability to operate in a very business dense area without having these issues as a concern for the business’ visitors, guests, and employees.
It is with complete respect that we ask the matter be more aggressively addressed by the city council. To remedy the problems that are unfairly placed upon everyone in the area by a few very large RV’s that have not moved or only shift position to gain the system.
