Included in the City’s five year street maintenance plan is Bay Road from VanBuren Road to Ringwood Avenue. Finally. New, wider sidewalks where two people can walk side by side, not one in the bike lane and one on the sidewalk, also needs to be included in a CIP project. Bay Road is busy with commute traffic, traffic to three schools in the area, a bike lane and as a safe route to school.
It is dangerous to not have a real curb between cars, bikes and pedestrians.
A new sidewalk will also provide ADA compliance where completely missing or inadequate. Please include new sidewalks in the five year plan.
