O the City council
The proposal to declare downtown parking lots as "surplus land” and use it for building new housing is a major change for Menlo Park urban future. It will certainly have major consequences on traffic and commerce around that area.
It clearly deserves much more discussion and inputs from Menlo Park citizens. I just learned about this today, three days before the vote in the council. I have note yet received any detailed information on the plan and what it entails. The City Council has a duty to give much more information to Menlo Park citizens about the plan, and give them the time and opportunity to provide an input.
