Hello City Council, my name is Nooria Andeshmand and I am a 27 year business resident at 681 Oak Grove Avenue.
I was made aware from fellow tenants about the Menlo Park City Council voting to declare downtown Menlo Park parking lots as "surplus land" for low-income housing. With so many questions and confusion, this came to me as a complete shock and believe this is a haste decision made without consideration of the impact it will have on the downtown businesses that have been here for decades.
Proceeding forward with this project in its current state will have detrimental effects on both the businesses and the community of patrons that support it. I write this email not only in opposition, but in grave concern for what the future holds. Please, do not move forward with this.
