Hello,I read today's Daily Journal's article on the pending crisis of underfunded pension plans in the cities of San Mateo County.
The article was prompted by the Civil Grand Jury report of July 17, 2018.
TheDaily Journal's article said that "cities throughout San Mateo funded 70% of their liabilities" ( for expected pension
expenses).
What is Menlo Park's percentage of funded pension liabilities?
What are we doing to adopt the Civil Grand Jury's recommendation to follow the County's lead in reducing unfunded pension
liabilities?
I support directing more current income to reduce our future pension liabilities.
