Dear Planning Commissioners;
Please accept this email in full support of the proposed development of The New Guild – Arts & Entertainment complex.
As a Menlo Park resident since 1992, and having put three sons through the Menlo Park public school system, we are ardent
supporters of bringing economic vitality to Downtown Menlo Park.
Rather than taking our sales tax dollars to Palo Alto, or Redwood City – which has done a phenomenal job of revitalizing its
downtown in the past 5-10 years - we would much prefer to spend more time, money and energy building community and enjoying our
own City of Menlo Park.
The new and improved movie, entertainment and dining environment being proposed at The New Guild areexactly what is needed to
bring a little nightlife to our sleepy town, and in order to keep the downtown area alive and vibrant beyond 9.00pm !!!
Please approve The New Guild proposal as soon as possible, so we can begin enjoying this exciting new Menlo Park amenity.
