Dear council members and staff. I read Appendix F for the Downtown development proposal and I see the reference to the utilization of Parking Plaza 1, 2, and 3 as per MTC/AECOM preliminary data. The information is useful but Id strongly encourage you to provide data for ALL the other parking plazas.
Customers of downtown that need parking can walk a couple of blocks from their destination, so all the plazas are relevant. And special needs can be handled through handicap parking or short duragion loading limits.
Anecdotally, in the cases where I have found a parking plaza full I can easily find parking elsewhere. I just looked at Google Maps and at Apple Maps and, even though Parking Plaza 2 looks very full, Plazas 4, 5 and 6 are almost empty. Plazas 4 and 5 are literally 2 blocks from Plazas 2 and 3.
