Dear Council members,
My husband and I are opposed to the plan to declare our downtown parking lots "surplus land". It is not surplus, but fully occupied nearly all the time with employees and customers for the businesses in town. We are not at all opposed to new housing, but losing this parking in downtown will destroy businesses if customers have nowhere to park. We will shop, dine and get our coffee elsewhere.
Please do not approve this plan!
