I am 100% supportive of the effort to renovate the Guild Theater into an active space for live entertainment. Menlo Park is a city
full of young professionals, families and music lovers of all ages. We are a creative community literally teaming with musically
talented folks and a renovation would certainly attract high quality performers from all over. In our area, there is a serious
lack of venues for this type of entertainment (the only one that comes to mind is Fox Theater in RWC). The M-A theater is great
but is limited in terms of the types of performances it will host and certainly won't attract certain musical groups (rock, indie,
etc.) that don't want to play at a high school.
