Dear City Council Members,
I sincerely hope you will consider placing on the 2021 agenda a discussion of a ban on gas leaf blowers. You have no doubt been hearing from many residents—especially during this past stay-at-home year—about the negative impact of gas leaf blowers: the air and noise pollution, the stress caused by hearing that relentless angry droning sound. Electric leaf blowers get the job done just as well, and with far less negative environmental and community impact. The technology is there to improve our lives. Let’s give ourselves a chance to embrace it.
