Since 2015 I have lived next door to 1475 Woodland Ave. and the ongoing construction of a new home. Many weeks no work is done at all, some weeks a day or two sees workers at the property, but it never seems to progress much. Rarely does work happen at the property every day of any M-F week.
Menlo Park seems to have no effective way of forcing the completion of new construction under what anyone would consider a reasonable time frame. It is horrible to live next door to this ongoing ugly site month after month, year after year with garbage strewn in the front yard and only thinning veiled by a green net on the fence, sidewalks broken, and a house unfinished. I want to see laws put into place to make it too expensive for any owner to proceed at this slow and unreasonable pace toward completion. The lax policy of Menlo Park allows for absurdly long project times.
