Dear council members,
I note in the email log the many requests for sports fields and lighted fields.
Of course our youth -- and adults -- should have places to play team sports.
But I would urge you to include in any plans for lighting fields that the lights should be dark-sky compliant. Not only will htis protect our wildlife, both resident and seasonally migrating over, but it would be very considerate of neighbors to the fields. All without compromising safety or effectiveness.
