Hello all, I felt you all should be aware of a situation that is affecting neighborhoods of people here in Menlo Park. Richard Li, who is the builder for a property at 845 Harvard Ave. and had been the developer for a property on Cambridge Ave. in the recent past in that same 800 block. First, I understand that multiple neighbors have called the City, code enforcement and the police department for multiple complaints across multiple projects. I also understand from a variety of builder/developer companies that he has developed a bad reputation, has not passed inspections and crews have quit, been unpaid and many will not work with him. He is a bad citizen to have involved in our community. Listed as 1740 Oak Avenue, L.P. , Mr. Li has brought a lawsuit against 7 households on Creek Drive together with West Bay Sanitary District because of an easement question we have nothing to do with. He is seeking significant damages and has cost a lot of people a lot of money and time. After having had nothing but problems with this construction project on Harvard, we are now being sued for the pleasure of him sitting on this half done eyesore for two years. In addition, we now had to employ one attorney to represent us all in a possible cross complaint as well as 7 individual attorneys representing 7 different homeowners insurance policies. How can you all help us? In what way can we ensure that Richard Li does not continue to be a problem for so many and is there any way The City can push back to get this project completed and/or our names removed from the suit as a waste of money and time?
