Dear City Council, I know you are very busy, and I appreciate a moment to consider my suggestions: 1. Could you collaborate with Atherton to share the costs/maintenance for the large police vehicle you intend to purchase? Atherton police is responsible for MA, Menlo College etc. and in case something happens there, Atherton would have the same need. 2. The sixth store becoming unoccupied on Santa Cruz Ave is Flegels. We don’t want downtown to become a ghost city. We used to have 12 saloons, three pubs in the 18th century, how can we attract businesses? A. Property vacancy tax? B. Special incentives for (hospitality) start ups? E.g. Little Sky Bakery is a Menlo Park mom and-pop business who mostly sells at local markets. Would be great if they have a store in town.
