Dear Council, Last month I sent an email to ask what is being done to help house the homeless in our city and, additionally, create a nicer environment for citizens visiting our downtown. Though I got a form letter that I would hear from someone from the Council or city offices, I have yet to hear from anyone. This is today’s picture of the same lady’s belongings who generally parks outside Pharmaca or up against the wall on Crane Street. I have spoken to her and realize she is challenged but there must be SOMETHING we can do! Please let me know where to direct my inquires, what committee is working on this at the Council and city level and how best I can be of help to our community. You all must PRIORITIZE this problem. Numbers are increasing and residents, such as myself, are avoiding coming to downtown to shop or eat - even before the COVID-19 problem!
