Dear City Council,
I just spent 15 minutes attempting to report, for the 2nd time, the burned out street lamp located in front of my house at 1070 Lassen Dr. I thought I had reported 2 weeks ago but it is not in “the system.” The 15 minutes was spent trying to download, log in and follow the completely illogical path of the ACT Menlo Park system. We live in Silicon Valley!!! Who agreed to this ridiculous and completely unfathomable system? I spent 20 years at Apple. If we ever released a software tool like this one, we’d have been out of business years ago.
And while I’m at it….. I went to the city’s website www.menlopark.org and attempted to go to the Report Maintenance link. Here’s what I landed on.
We can do better than this.
BTW - the $8M house around the corner at 1200 Trinity was burglarized last Saturday night. Having my street in complete darkness doesn’t make this situation easier.
