I want to let you know how grateful Norma Lyle is for your replacing the placque of Jack Lyle in Officer Jack Lyle Park. It broke her heart to see it missing when it was vandalized some time ago. She is my mother-in-law and I came out here to stay with her to help her during a time of declining health. In the almost two months since I arrived here, on numerous occasions she mentioned to me how broken-hearted she was that the placque had not been replaced. To me and you, the importance may pale in comparison to how important it is to her. She leaves her house very seldom these days so this week, when we discovered it had been replaced, we took a picture of it so she could see it and know that her husband, who gave his life for Menlo Park, is still honored and remembered.Thanks again.
