N2 Item: Further to Ron Snows letter of todays date, I would urge that the speed limit be reduced from 30 to the prima facie 25 mph limitation for all the reasons Ron stated. In order for the speed to be 30 mph the city has to come up with some reason to justify the 30 mph limit, which is not possible.
An additional reason for a 25 mph limit is the fact that when funerals occur there is a lot of on street parking and illegal U-turns. I understand that there will be modifications to the cemetery side of the street in order to replace the fence. Part of that renovation will install a sidewalk which may make the parking issue even more hazardous.
It makes no sense to have 30 mph in that little stretch and 25 mph for the rest of the street.
