Another Thank You to our Police Department

Dear Menlo Park City Council members,

Today, September 11, we remember those in law enforcement who gave their lives in 2001 to save others. In memory of that horrid day, let me resend the message I sent to you three months ago, on June 11. Sadly, we did NOT show support for our fine police chief, and he resigned. Do not let this happen again! We rely on our hardworking police force to keep our city safe and orderly. Do not even pay lip service to despicable chants to “defund the police”. That leads us to the abyss of chaos and destruction.

My message on June 11, 2020:

As a 30-year resident of Menlo Park, I want to express to you, my elected local representatives, my support for, and profound thanks to, the Menlo Park City Police Department. At this time of turmoil, recrimination, violence, and destruction of property in so many cities and towns across our country, Menlo Park has remained a stable and secure location. This is due in large measure due to the alert, vigilant, and no-nonsense police work done by the “men in blue” in our city. Please convey my thanks to our Chief of Police and all of the officers in our Police Department, and express to them my gratitude for their tireless work keeping our city a safe place in which to live, work, and own property. Please continue to support our Police Department with an appropriate level of funding and encouragement.

Regards,

Mrs. Mical Atz Brenzel
