Hello MP City Council,
I am writing to advocate for a full playing field to be included as part of the SRI development.
As President of the Menlo Atherton Adult Soccer League (MAASL), I struggled to find fields when Kelly Field was slated to be closed for maintenance. I called Palo Alto, Redwood City, and contacted many leads but field space at the time when adults are available (weeknight evenings) are booked. Last week i learned that when we did not renew our field reservation right away, it was reserved by another group.
As a mother, I am often driving in rush hour traffic to get my children to portola valley or south Palo Alto for field space. It is such a slog.
Please require the new SRi development to include a full field- preferably with lights so that it can be used after sunset.
