As a long time (over 40 years) Menlo Park resident, and owner of commercial property in Menlo Park, I strongly oppose eliminating parking lots #1, #2 and #3 and replacing them with housing. This would spell the end of the retail in downtown Menlo Park, and eliminate badly needed parking for commercial tenants. As Im sure is the case with the majority of Menlo Park residents, I support the creation of low cost housing but this is not the way to do it.
